Why are titles sometimes inconsistent, with various spellings?

EDVR editorial policy is to transcribe titles exactly as seen on Victor labels, in trade catalogs, or in the original Victor ledgers consulted. If you own a recording described in the discography and the label shows a title different from that seen in EDVR, report the discrepancy to the editors.
